Unlocking Effective Reading Instruction
Many teachers recognize the limitations of traditional teacher preparation programs in adequately preparing them to teach the intricate skill of reading. Unlike speaking, which children acquire naturally, reading must be explicitly taught. Our mission is to cultivate proficient readers who can comprehend what they read. MaxScholar offers an explicit, systematic, and multisensory methodology for instructing phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and writing. Our program incorporates the renowned Orton-Gillingham approach, engaging visual, auditory, and kinesthetic modalities in every lesson. Participants gain access to our instructional resources, enabling students to practice and master these vital skills.

Orton-Gillingham / Science of Reading Training
Our Orton-Gillingham / Science of Reading program, which is IDA accredited, is a comprehensive 40-hour course that delves into the scientific underpinning of reading acquisition and the implementation of a comprehensive instructional approach. Our training aims to empower educators with the knowledge, support, and tools to make an immediate impact on their students' learning. Each training session equips teachers to understand how to implement the Orton-Gillingham approach in their classrooms and offers the opportunity to become certified in this powerful method.
